Manvi. How should I start Manvi's story? Manvi is my rank 1 student. Why is she ranked 1? It's simple. She is the only student who trains for 1 hour every day. And those who train diligently reach their goal no matter what. And Manvi is going to blow people's minds in 3-5 years. She hates this 3-5-year timeline cause she's a little impatient with her progress.
Now let's go to the beginning of Manvi's story. Manvi joined in June 2023. She was extremely optimistic about completing her first song in 3 months as the Ad promised so. She hoped to complete Taylor Swift's August in August 2023 itself. But little did she know that completing a song in 3 months, when you're a beginner is a best-case scenario. This can be achieved if you train rigorously for 3 months and put in 100 hours of training in 90 days. And I told her she needed to train for 1 hour a day to get such fast results. But Manvi took it lightly. She did not take that advice to heart. She barely trained for an hour or two the whole month plus whatever she trained during the guitar session. This routine continued for a few months. And she soon realized that 5 months had passed by and she was nowhere close to completing her first song. In Manvi's defense, Manvi is a very good academic and is studying to complete 2 degrees, so she has her hands tied, another reason why she couldn't show the required dedication towards her guitar training.
Now, I was patient with her, but I had no idea she wasn't training for 1 hour every day. I assumed an adult who's 21 doesn't need to be reminded of the importance of training every day. That was my mistake. I should have paid more attention. But something amazing happened in October. We reached the stage where I taught Manvi the basics of Vocal Training and assured her that as long as she did these exercises consistently, she would become a phenomenal singer. For some reason, Manvi took this advice to heart. She put in a massive 28 hours of training in November and continued so in the months that followed. Within 3 months her vocals had drastically improved. She could see her progress and her family noticed her improvements as well.
This Leap of Faith that Manvi took with my teachings showed her the results she desired and she started trusting me. Today Manvi trains for 20+ hours of vocals every month. She still ignored her guitar training, but Vocals, no way. Her love for singing and writing songs along with her dream to be a Singer/Songwriter makes her train more than any of my other students.
Now back to Manvi's Guitar Training. Even though Manvi is my rank 1 student, she hadn't improved her guitar skills that much in January 2023, simply because she was still training only 6-10 hours every month. So here's what her monthly Guitar Training Chart looked like over the past year:
Manvi needed 131 hours to complete her first song. A little more than the estimate I provided. But each student learns at their own pace. And Manvi has a slow pace of learning, just like I do. Plus I don't like enforcing deadlines, cause I want my students to enjoy the process of learning just as much as they would enjoy their success. Now what Manvi lacks in speed, she makes up in hard work and discipline. No one beats Manvi when it comes to hardcore training and the discipline she exhibits in her vocal training. Not as much for her guitar training, but it's only a matter of time when she starts kicking everyone's butt with her guitar skills as well. Cause she has learned the ultimate secret to becoming a good singer/songwriter - Training, Training and Training. And btw, I have heard her first song, it's still in the making, but it's beautiful. I loved it.
I am extremely proud of Manvi for completing her first video. I know it was difficult for her and she has taken the most amount of effort to reach this goal. Thank you, Manvi, for believing in me, trusting me, listening to me, giving me a chance to guide you, laughing at my stupid jokes, forgiving me for my misunderstandings, and taking a leap of faith with my teachings. I look forward to the day when I see you become famous and tell my students, she used to be my student and now look where she has reached. Have faith in yourself like I have in you.
